Health & Safety and Environmental Statement

Last updated: 4 November 2025

At Kabilo, the health, safety, and wellbeing of our employees, clients, contractors, and the general public are of the highest importance.
We are fully committed to conducting all our construction, refurbishment, and maintenance operations safely, responsibly, and with full respect for the environment.

1. Our Commitment to Health & Safety

Kabilo complies with the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 (CDM), and all other relevant UK legislation.

Our objectives are to:

  • Prevent accidents, injuries, and work-related ill-health;

  • Maintain safe, organised, and tidy worksites at all times;

  • Ensure all employees and subcontractors are trained and competent for their duties;

  • Provide suitable and well-maintained personal protective equipment (PPE);

  • Carry out thorough risk assessments and implement effective control measures;

  • Promote a strong safety culture through clear communication, supervision, and continuous improvement.

All team members and contractors are expected to take reasonable care for their own safety and that of others who may be affected by their actions.

2. Site Management and Responsibilities

Each project is managed by a competent Site Supervisor or Project Manager, responsible for:

  • Preparing and reviewing Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS);

  • Ensuring compliance with site-specific health and safety requirements;

  • Monitoring the correct use of PPE and safe work procedures;

  • Reporting and investigating incidents, accidents, and near-misses promptly.

We collaborate closely with clients, designers, and principal contractors to ensure all CDM 2015 duties are clearly defined and properly implemented throughout every stage of our projects.

3. Environmental Responsibility

Kabilo recognises its duty to minimise environmental impact and promote sustainable construction practices.
Our commitments include:

  • Reducing waste through efficient planning, recycling, and material optimisation;

  • Complying with all applicable environmental regulations and standards;

  • Controlling dust, noise, and emissions to minimise disruption to local communities;

  • Sourcing materials responsibly, prioritising environmentally sustainable suppliers;

  • Supporting energy-efficient methods and designs that reduce carbon footprint.

4. Continuous Improvement

We review and update our Health & Safety and Environmental Management systems regularly to ensure ongoing effectiveness, legal compliance, and alignment with industry best practices.
Feedback from employees, clients, and subcontractors is always encouraged and used to drive improvement across all aspects of our operations.
